For patients who have NOT previously been on any weight-loss medications, you will likely qualify for one of the medications in my program if you are a generally healthy person between the ages of 18-64 with a BMI of 30+. Patients with risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Type 2 Diabetes, or sleep apnea may qualify with a BMI of 27+. Patients aged 65-69, please ask for an exception. If you are 70+, you are best served by your primary care physician for weigh loss options.
Once you are approaching your goal weight and have a BMI under 25, please contact us for information on maintenance dosing.
*DO NOT use any of the injectable medications if you or any of your family members have ever had a type of thyroid cancer called MTC or if you have an endocrine system condition called MEN 2, or if you have had a serious allergic reaction to tirzepatide or semaglutide.
*For ladies on oral birth control pills, these meds can change the way your body absorbs certain medications, and the pills may not work as well. It is recommended that you use a back-up birth control method to prevent pregnancy when first starting a new dose. See the website for more info.
These injections can cause serious side effects in certain people including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation..
DOSING: Please see the ORDER SITE for dosing. Each pharmacy has different formulations, so be sure to follow the instructions on your vial or the order site. All patients new to Semaglutide MUST start at the 0.25mg dose then increase your dose each 4-weeks. If you have previously been on Semaglutide with another prescriber, we can start at a higher dose with proof that you have completed the lower dose.
